On the piedmont to the east of Yuxi City, there is an integral red stone tower standing quietly in the sky. That is ancient tower built in the Yuan Dynasty. Because of the tower, the mountain is named as Hongta Mountain.
In November 2008, a severe mud slide happened in Chuxiong Prefecture. Chuxiong Cigarette Factory called upon its staff to donate money and goods to help people in disaster area to rebuild their home.
It is not an overstatement to say that the history of Hongta Group mirrors that of the history of China's tobacco industry. It's an enchanting biography of a company which has had a long and exciting history.
